What's fresh

In season right now.

Our bins change with the calendar, so what you see depends on what's ripe. Right now the summer harvest is in full swing. Stop by each week for the best of the season.

Here's a rough guide to what tends to fill the tables through the year. Actual supply shifts by the day…

March – May

Spring

Strawberries, asparagus, lettuces, sugar snap peas, spring onions, and the first tender greens.

June – August

Summer

Tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, peppers, and berries.

In season now
September – November

Fall

Apples, pumpkins, winter squash, sweet potatoes, pears, and hearty cooking greens.

December – February

Winter

Citrus, root vegetables, cabbage, kale, potatoes, and sweet onions.

Fruit

A huge variety, guaranteed fresh.

Every piece of fruit we put out is guaranteed fresh. You'll find a huge variety depending on what's ripe: crisp apples, sweet oranges, Carolina peaches, crisp watermelon, and baskets of berries. Because we sell what's actually in season, the lineup shifts from week to week, so there's always a reason to come back.

Supply is greatly influenced by the season, so what's on the table today may look a little different next week.

Vegetables

Straight from the field to our Shelves.

Our vegetable tables are stocked with the staples you reach for every week and the seasonal stars you look forward to all year: vine-ripe tomatoes, sweet corn, green beans, squash, cucumbers, peppers, leafy greens, potatoes, and sweet onions. If it grows in a Carolina garden, odds are you'll find it here.

Local farms & growers

Grown by neighbors

The best produce doesn't travel far. Wherever we can, we buy from farms and growers right here in our neighboring counties, picking up what was pulled that morning and setting it out the same day.

We work hand in hand with family farms around the region, and when a crop comes in strong, we pass the freshness and the price straight along to you. It's the same way we've done it since the first truck bed of cantaloupes back in 1990.

So when you ask us where something came from, we can usually tell you the family that grew it, and sometimes the very field it came out of.
